creation of my own. I'm sure it's been done before, but I just whipped it all together so go with it.
All I did was melt a good portion of butter in a skillet and place the meat in the melted goodness, all cooking on medium heat. I let it sit for a little bit to brown slightly on one side, then flipped to repeat the process on the other side. Once it was almost completely cooked and oozing juice, I put a little salt and pepper all over the meat, reduced the heat to really low and covered to keep warm.
While browsing through Pinterest, I came across a really nifty recipe from "Catz in the Kitchen" that shared an easy way to create creamy angel hair pasta. I knew that I wanted to have some meat as well so I added the steak tips, but I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Let's start with the creamy angel hair garlic pasta first.
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 lb angel hair pasta (you could also use spaghetti)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (we used Colby Jack)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
Directions:
1. In a pot, bring the olive oil to medium heat and then add the garlic, stirring for roughly 1 minutes. Mix in the butter until it's completely melted (not burned) and then add the salt, pepper, and chicken stock. Bring the heat up so that everything comes to a boil.
2. When your stock is at a boil, add your pasta and cook according to the box's directions. Reduce the heat to medium and mix in the cheese of your choice until it's completely melted. Be careful not to burn the pasta or cheese! Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and parsley, then serve immediately.
Now seeing that the directions strictly say "serve immediately", you may want to cook your meat during the process of cooking the pasta. For my meat I went with sirloin steak tips from Trader Joe's (10.49/lb.) and cooked it in a batter of butter.

When I finished with the pasta, I just plopped the meat in (I tried not to put too much of the butter in) and mixed everything together. And boom! You have yourself an easy meal that feeds about 4 people or 2 with leftovers!
I really loved this meal and my padawan even devoured his dish. It was super rich, creamy, and tasty. Took roughly 30 minutes to whip everything together (and that's mostly due to chopping with a dull knife) but it was well worth it in the end, making a perfect end to this weird (for lack of a better word) week.
Happy Friday Jedi's! I hope that it's full of magic and awesomeness, just like you guys! We have a storm (supposedly) coming in tomorrow, so most likely we'll be doing movies and toys indoors for the day.
Quick side note: Tomorrow makes 1 whole year that I've been blogging! Holy cannoli! I can't believe I've doing this for an entire year. It's been a rocky road and I know these past few posts haven't been as high quality as I'd have liked, but I'm working on a couple projects I think will ramp things up. It's been an insane 2017 so far, but as long as I stay positive everything will be ok.
See you guys on Monday! Stay safe and may the force be with you all.
