Cleaning Disasters in WAY Less Time Than Usual!

On Tuesday (July 4th), I made an executive decision to purchase a bundle of products for the household, in hopes that it would save me time and money in the long run when it came to cleaning in general. Yesterday I gave a full review regarding laundry (minus 1 item) and today I'm here to finish up reviewing all the other items. Trust me, you're not going to want to miss this!

Today I'll be talking about Nellie's one soap ($13), the toilet bowl cleaner ($15), the all-purpose cleaner ($15), the shower and bath cleaner ($15), and the wrinkle-b-gone (currently not found online). 5 items that cost me half the price AND I received a free Nellie's mini suitcase!

The Nellie's One Soap is a multi-purpose soap good for dishes, hands, and even your little furry four-legged friends. I purchased the fragrance free bottle, but they also have scented ones: Melon, Peppermint, and Water Lily. Just like the dryer balls I talked about yesterday (see HERE), you can opt to simply add your own essentials oil scents to create your own unique fragrance. Same price, yet customized!

The soap itself is extremely smooth on the skin, without that weird residue feeling. It's sensitive enough for dry hands - when you clean as much as I do, this is a big deal - and it cuts through grease on dishes comparable to Dawn. Granted Dawn is much cheaper than this soap (I paid a fraction of the cost however), but it was a nice price for an all-natural hand soap, which is what I'll probably set this aside for. I have a plentiful of Dawn and like I said, it works fantastic, but I need hand soap more than I do dish soap. I'm really satisfied with the fact that it didn't hurt my padawan's hands, which has been a problem in the past.

As for the toilet bowl cleaner, I have a few mixed feelings about it. It did a fantastic job on sparkling up the toilet over all, but any disgusting "stuck" dirt (yes TMI, but it's all in the name of a scientific review) took a little extra work than it normally does with bleach/Comet. I don't regret this purchase, but it wasn't as effective as I'd have hoped. I read other reviews that claim if you let the cleanser sit for a few minutes you should get the same (if not very close) results as you would bleach, but others expressed the same [minor] disappointment as I have.

The shower and bath cleaner however, was a surprise with even fewer disappointment. I normally have to battle through a number of types of soap scum, along with rust stains (from my bobby pins). Bleach is usually the only thing that tends to work for me - which I try to avoid spraying in large amounts due to the chemical smell - and this was the closest contender I've had so far. It definitely cut down the time I used to spend scrubbing at my walls to rid the tiles of dried soap, making me super excited because my hands didn't ache nearly as much. The shower and bath cleaner also shined up my fixtures. The rust was a little tricker, only fully coming off with a small spray of bleach. Overall it was a 4.5 out of 5 star product, with an excellent fresh scent of lemongrass.

Next up is the all-purpose cleaner with wins all around! This morning I really put it to the test right after preparing a big breakfast. Between bacon grease, butter, syrup, oil, juice, and powdered sugar, everything was literally spread everywhere. It even started to "cook" and harden on the stove top while everything was being cooked, providing a big challenge for this cleaner. I sprayed a few sprays, grabbed a paper towel, and wiped one swipe to see what all would be cleaned. I. Was. Shocked. Not only did it take off all the sticky stuff, the grease was completely gone! I didn't need to spray more or wipe again, squeeky clean. Something that usually only happens with - once again - bleach. Seeing as how I could replace the highly chemical cleaner with this all-natural one, I couldn't be more excited.

I also used this cleaner to dust, clean up my floor, and wipe down the mirrors. All with excellent results.

The last product is one that's more of a laundry item, but it's not forgotten! It's the Wrinkle-B-Gone and it's something I was very intrigued to try. I don't always have time to whip out the iron and press our clothes and this claims that if you spritz a little on your clothes, with a gentle touch from your hands (and after 5 minutes of drying) your clothes should be relatively wrinkle free. So I grabbed a wrinkly shirt, sprayed a light mist on half of it, smoothed the shirt with my hands, and laid it to dry. After the 5 minute drying time, I saw something very interesting. The wrinkles were almost completely gone! Another amazing buy that I can't stop bragging about.

Almost every single purchase has been awesome and I couldn't be happier. I left with loads of products for way less than what I would've normally paid AND my house smells like an organic field of lemongrass. Some may have misses, some have nothing to complain about, I saved money, the suitcase is adorable and the lamb is even cuter. What's not to freaking love?!
