Seeing as how he was so incredibly sick, we weren't exactly able to go have his Kindergarten school pictures taken. It just wasn't fair to him or any of the other kids he may be around. After calling the school, they so kindly thanked us for not exposing the others and let us know that it was absolutely no problem. God I love this school. They are even willing to set aside a date of my choice, to get his picture taken for the yearbook and his ID.
I also didn't want to take him outside, so we used a coupon from Amazon to order from a nearby restaurant. Did you know that was a thing? Because I just recently heard about it.
My son had a hankering for some Chicken Pho, so that's exactly what I ordered for him. When I tell you he guzzled it down, I mean he practically chugged it! It was nice to see my little foodie still had an appetite.
My uncle also wasn't able to make it today, as he too was sick in bed, just with a different ailment. It was unfortunate, but I was thankful for him not bringing his sickness here as well. That would not have been a pretty picture.
Overall things were a bit frustrating and I felt bad for my padawan all day, but the end was joyous. My mom and her husband ever so graciously came to sit with my son and give him extra loving, while I went to my church classes (I'm doing my Catechism). It was a little break for me and I know he needed that extra attention.
Now that I'm home, makeup off, padawan dozing off in front of my eyes, I can rest assured that while I wasn't thee most productive today, I did the best I could and that's all that counts.
Really guys, I was so anxious yesterday and I realized something this morning. While I can't necessarily turn off the anxiety in an instant, I am glad that I didn't freak out today. It's not how much you get done, it's the effort. So I'm not going to beat myself up and get upset about what hasn't been accomplished, because I know it isn't the end of the world.
Hopefully you guys had a better Tuesday and I will talk to you all tomorrow. Happy All Saints Day and here's to another night of not sleeping, but as I told my mom and her husband, that's why they made coffee!
